What if You Could Have it All?

Ever imagined how satisfying it would be, if you could achieve everything you ever wanted out of your life, all at once. If you were to achieve everything in life, you would never really know the value of relentless efforts.

Some may opine that ‘having it all’ means that you are leading a perfect life, free of any anguish, struggle or dreams. It signifies that you have absolutely everything that a person desires and struggles for in life. But do you really think, that would be an ideal life?

Is it really that great to have it all?

The purpose of life is to wake up every day and work towards achieving the goals and aspirations. Human beings nurture their dreams and strive untiringly, in the hope of obtaining all the pleasures of life. But have you ever imagined, how drab and meaningless your life would become, if you were to achieve all your goals in a single day.

The moment you achieve everything in life, your purpose in life would be lost. It is the everyday struggle to battle with the circumstances, which gives everyone a hope of a better tomorrow.

If you were to encounter an ideal life, you may probably hit a dead end with nowhere to go, and no target in sight.

Oprah Winfrey’s famous quote “You can have it all. Just not all at once”, is the essence of life. It signifies the eternal truth, that you can achieve all your goals in life, but just not all at the same time.

There would be phases where you might be strong on the monetary front, but unhappy with your health issues.

On the other hand, there would be times when you would have to struggle with your finances, but you would still be at peace with yourself.

There are a few things to keep in mind, in order to stop the frustration when you feel as though your stuck and not understanding why you don’t have it all. It’s time to enjoy the ride. Stop craving for it all right now, and be at peace that you are exactly where you need to be.

Stop comparing yourself with others:

Just remember that every individual has his own set of problems and issues to deal with. The friend or a family member, whose financial status you might be envious of, might be having more deep rooted issues within his life.

The people who compare their failure to the success of others can never really be at peace with themselves. Keep in mind, that there are millions of other people, who can only dream of achieving what you have.

Create your own ideal:

Delve within yourself, and introspect about what exactly it is that you want out of your life.

Don’t ape the life ideals of others. Create your own set of dreams and aspirations and remember that what makes other people happy, might not be enough to satisfy you.

Every individual is different, and it is not necessary that the materialistic achievements of others will be able to full fill your dreams of a more abstract life.

The last but not the least, it is absolutely essential to work towards your dreams with utmost sincerity, and stop dreaming of achieving everything all at once.

After all, things happen, only when the right time comes.

Is having it all really what life is all about?
Is it time to reflect and enjoy each stage of life for what it is?
